What a Beauty!

Hi Everyone, it's Shanna here.  I hope you're having a fantastic weekend.  I have a fun layout to share with you today.  I always tell my daughter Hailey that I love photos where she is really happy!  I see her biggest smiles right after she catches a fish.  In this layout, I started with a black and white photo and cut out the center of it and replaced it with a colored photo of the same picture.

Back to School

I love going out to Facebook to see all of the back to school photos that people share.  It brings back special memories of my first days of school...

It was tradition to carefully choose what clothes I wanted to wear and call my friends the night before to make sure that we were all wearing similar items.  I organized my binder, matching pencil pouch and new sharpened crayons neatly on my bed.  I woke up early in the morning with butterflies in my stomach because I was so excited to see my friends and new teacher.

When I create my scrapbook layouts, I don't always use my own photos. I often use photos that my family shares on social media.  Here is one that I created last year. I used the cutest paper from October Afternoon.  I cut slits in the paper to place each photo and labeled the drawer with my niece and nephew's names.

Summer Memories

Happy Wednesday!
I hope everyone has fun plans for the long Labor Day weekend.

Ever since Hailey was a little girl, she has always loved to sell lemonade during the summer and had even more fun creating her stand. It was no surprise that she jumped at the chance to set up one with her cousin Reagan.  When I was taking photos of our little entrepreneurs,I knew that to fully tell the story, I needed to capture all of the details that were so important to Reagan, including her cashier's box, hand made sign, and of course a photo of her serving to her first customer, Grandpa!  I truly cherish special memories like this!
